Allie is a Redken certified colorist with over 15 years' experience in the salon and beauty industry and has received extensive training at the Redken Exchange as well as Bumble and bumble.  In addition to her expertise in hair color, Allie also specializes in special occasion and editorial make-up and has participated backstage in numerous fashion shows and special events, including photo shoots and weddings. 

Allie believes that to be a great colorist means to stay up-to-date on the latest techniques/trends and to always be creative!

How To: No-Heat Loose Waves

Let's face it, we don't always have time to style our hair or even wash it, but the good news is that's actually not a bad thing.  Over processing our hair can lead to a lot of unwanted damage and dull, brittle strands.  Fortunately there are a lot of great next-day hairstyles that require no washing or heat, so you can give your locks the rest they deserve. 

Lived-in, loose waves are the perfect look for any day of the week and super simple to achieve!

1.  Apply some dry shampoo to your roots to soak up any excess oil and give you some added volume.  We recommend Kevin Murphy Fresh.Hair Dry Cleaning Spray. 

2.  Mist your hair with your favorite sea salt spray concentrating on the middle of the strands and down to the ends.  Flip your head upside down and lightly coat your hair again with the sea salt spray.

3. Twist your hair into individual chunky pieces and let air dry.  Once your hair is dry, loosen the curls with your fingers or a wide tooth comb.  Set the look with a light hold hairspray.
